Hi Doc. I am 30 year old male, healthy overall but I have noticed that my baseline testosterone levels are approx. 300. If I workout for few weeks it shoots up a bit but once I stop working out it again lands down to baseline levels, how to keep it in the healthy range even if I don't workout. Also I have heard that zinc tablets 10–15 mg/day is safe to take for few months as that will help me boost my testosterone levels but not sure if it will be able to maintain it or not. Please suggest how to keep my T levels in a healthy range.

Hello. Thank you for sharing your concern in detail.
Testosterone levels can naturally fluctuate depending on several factors such as sleep quality, stress levels, digestion, metabolism, physical activity, and hormonal balance. It is quite common to see a temporary rise with regular workouts and then a drop when the routine stops, because exercise stimulates hormonal pathways in the body.
However, maintaining healthy testosterone levels is not only dependent on exercise or supplements like zinc. Many internal factors such as Agni (metabolic strength), Dhatu poshan (tissue nourishment), stress levels, sleep cycle, and endocrine balance play an important role. In Ayurveda we evaluate these factors in detail before suggesting any line of management.
Regarding zinc, while it may support hormonal health in some cases, it is not always the primary or long-term solution for maintaining testosterone levels. Each person’s body constitution and underlying cause needs to be properly assessed first.
In your case, since you are young and otherwise healthy, it would be important to understand why your baseline levels are around 300 and what factors are influencing the fluctuation. Once the root cause is identified, it is possible to guide you toward maintaining healthier levels in a more sustainable way.
If you would like, you can book an online consultation with me so I can review your reports, lifestyle, diet pattern, sleep schedule, and other relevant factors. Based on that assessment, I can guide you properly according to Ayurvedic principles.
Proper evaluation first will help us avoid unnecessary supplements and focus on correcting the root imbalance
