My waight is 85 kg I want to readuse my waight so that I have start Basil seeds every day 2 month before because it's high is fiber in nature, is it creat problem to absorb vitamin and mineral in our body and make malnutrition ?

For losing weight in a healthy and permanent way : Maintain meal gaps of not more than 3hrs. To boost up your metabolism and helps in weight loss. Include barley tea and dandelion tea in your diet. Include seasonal fruits and vegetables in your diet. Walk at least 10-12k steps in a day. Drink 3-4lts of water per day.

Hi dear, Good morning. Dt Swati here. I know overweight is a complex and relative condition with significant long-term metabolic risk factors throughout a persons's lifespan. Since diet and lifestyle are the primary treatments for this, we as a  dietitians play an important role in helping  with overnight persons to optimize their health and prevent further disease. First thing , without knowing your height, activity level  we can never assume that you are obese or overnight. Trust me , it could be weight of your muscles too , because I can understand that  a Man of 29 years having knowledge of basil seeds won't be doing workout !! It  just seems not happening to me. Any way, without your physical / biochemical assessment / stats if somebody is suggesting you something don't follow it blindly. Regarding Basil leaves,Yes they are newly marketed wonder foods , loaded with good fats , weight reduction benefits, blood sugar controller etc and tremendous other  benefits. BUT  bioavailability of nutrients also matters. Bioavailability means that how much  capable your body is to absorb nutrients from the food. The daily recommended dosage is not to exceed a tablespoon, though it might vary from person to person. The high fiber content of basil seeds may cause digestive side effects like bloating. It's generally best to increase fiber intake gradually to give your gut time to adjust, so you have to soak it in water for atleast 2hours before or better overnight for its maximum bioavailability.

Early morning you can have 1 teaspoon of seeds ( overnight soaked) with luke warm water , Empty stomach. In summers you can use soaked 1/2 to 1 teaspoon is to be consumed in milk or lime water / raw coconut water.

The side effects of these seeds include diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, acne, acid reflux, headache, abdomen discomfort, loss of appetite, and such. They can also cause low blood sugar in some people. Hi, Its true that basil seeds are rich source of fibre and very good for weight loss. However, excess of anything is bad. So, avoid over consumption, 1-2 tsp of basil seeds are enough for a day.

Please soak basil seeds atleast 30 minutes to 2 houts prior intake and drink plenty of liquids throughout the day when you consume such seeds.
