Either you do an lab test of vitamin d3 or if you have any history of fatigue body pain esp. during early morning. vitamin d3 level- less than 20ng/dl is considered deficiency and between 21ng-to 30ng/dl-considered as insufficiency its given in the form of granules or tablets of 60000IU strength -once in week for at least 15 weeks .it should be taken with calcium supplement It helps in absorption calcium to maintain body calcium and phosphate level ,helps in recusing risk of heart disease

Few min of sun exposure every day is needed for vit d formation in body. Take 1tab / week  for 4-6 week.. Or add fish to your diet  , if non vegetarian..

Rather than taking vit D capsule. Kindly take sun light daily morning. It should be started if one has knee pain, back pain etc. Should be taken along with calcium.
