Both values are significantly low. Vit D at 15 ng/mL is severely deficient (normal >30) and B12 at 140 pg/mL is below normal range (normal 200-900). Oral supplements work well for both — injections are usually reserved only if there's a known absorption issue like pernicious anemia or post-gastric surgery. For Vit D: take cholecalciferol 60,000 IU (sachet or capsule) once a week. For B12: take methylcobalamin 1500 mcg daily, sublingual tablets absorb better. Recheck levels in 3 months.
Next Steps
Start Vit D3 60,000 IU weekly x 8 weeks, then 1000 IU daily maintenance. Start methylcobalamin 1500 mcg daily (sublingual). Take Vit D with a fatty meal for better absorption. Get sunlight 15-20 mins daily. Recheck Vit D and B12 levels after 3 months with a physician review.
