Hi It sounds like you have excessive empathy and guilt about winning, which holds you back from giving your best. This could stem from a deep-seated belief that your success might hurt others, leading you to self-sabotage in future competitions. To overcome this: 1. Reframe Winning: Success isn’t about bringing others down—it’s about pushing yourself to grow. 2. Accept Healthy Competition: Others have their own journey; your success doesn’t mean their failure. 3. Challenge Self-Sabotage: Remind yourself why you started—holding back only limits your potential. 4. Practice Detachment: Acknowledge others’ feelings but don’t let them define your effort. You deserve to win without guilt! If this pattern affects your confidence, therapy can help. If you want to take online therapy sessions, connect with me on nine two six six seven two six zero six five.
