You can try medical management as the fibroid is not very big and it's also a not fasty growing lesion.If the constipation is related to fibroids and not getting relieved by medical management then in that case you can stop consider surgery as a result of failed medical management
Your symptoms are not due to your fibroids. In other words you may not be entirely symptom free even after surgery.
You didn't mention if you are married or not and if married, has Infertility been an issue with you.
For 5x2.5 cm fibroid , u can try medical management before jumping into surgery
