I have been getting hives and 5 years ago, got diagnosed with Urticaria. Used Bilastine 20mg for about 1-2 years then switched to Levocetirizine 5mg and have been taking those tablets daily. Are there any side effects for daily usage? Is it concerning because there is no stoppage of hives and have to take levocetirizine daily. My dermatologist suggested me to use the same tablets for years but this indefinite time is now causing a concern to me.

Urticaria sometimes last for quite long if getting controlled with antihistamines usually nothing additional needs to be done.
If trigger is known avoiding trigger can help, if its idiopathic than can try looking for some internal issues (autoimmunity) and if its there desensitisation can be tried
