Urticaria and pets
My child is 10 years old and has urticaria and gets hives on exposure to pollen and mold. He is an only child and wants a pet, is it safe to give a pet? Which one will you recommend? We have aquariums but since he is lonely will bird help?

Yes birds can be kept but no cats and dogs as it may trigger urticaria. Secondly keep your child away from the birds droppings as sometimes it may also trigger urticaria.

Close contact with pets can trigger urticaria attacks. It is not safe for your child to have a cat or dog. But you can have birds for him.
