Unable to Sleep Well ( Anxiety)
Due to this recent lockdown and fear of covid 19. am unable to sleep properly, when i wanted to sleep, getting anxiety and heart beating very fast and could not control myself. i tried to calm down myslef but getting lot of negative thinking and emotions and having sleeping disorders and suddenly waking with fear. Please advise any medicines or changes

Dear mam, I sorry to hear u're suffering. Sleep is an important indicator of mental health. Covid concerns are affecting that and u're going into a lot of anxiety triggers because of that. As a simple suggestions I hope u can stop watching news and stay away from other anxious people. Anxiety is like an uncontrolled biological response to any anticipated threat, so a good psychiatric consultation can help u learn about u're situation, clear u're doubts and find a good therapeutic plan for you. Hello miss. Good morning I read & understood ur concern. During COVID crisis I can empathize the stress that you are bearing. I wud like to comment about ur fear. Fear is very organic & natural response of ur body to any percieved threat around you. So it is normal to have fear , infact it keeps u alert & cautious to expected threat . Then why ? It is a problem or when ? it becomes a problem . Two things you have to consider 1. If ur fear is present in the absence of any      relevant or logical threat ,means no actual       threat is present to cause any danger to you      but still u r fearing of it. 2. If ur fear is out of proportion to the actual      threat, means ur mind & body is reacting      more than expected . 3. Now this over alertness of ur mind and body       is causing physical symptoms like :                  * Pounding heart beat.                   * Sweating or excessive oiling of skin& hair.                   * Shivering of hand.                   * Acidity in stomach or stomach ache.                   * Weakness in body                   * Body ache or muscle ache or Tiredness                   * Heaviness of head or headache.                   * Chest pain or heaviness of chest.                   * Tingling & numbness sensation.                   * Impaired concentration                   * Feeling of losing control over body & life                   * Feeling of dying.                   * Depersonalization or derealization.                   * Congestion of nose                   * Sleep cycle disturbance.                   * Apetite problems                   * Constipation or diarrhea.            * Many more . 4. Most importantly you can't ignore such body alarm for long time bcoz chronic stage of fear lead other body systems impairment like :         * Increased blood pressure.           * Thyroid dysfunction.         * Heart involvement.         * Diabetes.        *  Migraine or tension headache        * Menstrual cycle disruption        * Mood , emotions & behaviour are altered.        * Sexual dysfunction        * Immune system of ur body is          compromised .             * Cognitive dysfunction. I hope I have cleared one thing , Fear & stress must not be present for long time in body & mind. Don't worry of the above things bcos they are consequences of untreated fear and stress. I believe you want to get rid of ur sufferings. Everything is just fine if u take care of ur MIND. So what next? Ur condition needs a detailed evaluation of ur fear,  Mood , emotions , behaviour , personality and other factors in ur life .  
Next Steps
Consult a Psychiatrist/ Neuropsychiatrist of ur choice to discuss the type , cause , severity of ur fear and it's associated problems. Prescription of Medicine will be unethical without knowing ur situation in detail.
Health Tips
Don't predict Everything on ur own about corona virus , I understand us concern but pls just follow government guidelines to prevent infection ,that is more than enough to be away from infection. Follow these tips :   1. Don't watch , listen or talk much about the       COVID 19.   2. Try to create the lesuire time for urself like       ur hobbies or just enjoying with family       member.   3. Exercise or meditation or yoga in morning       will keep ur body & mind calm & peace.   4. For good sleep at night -- avoid afternoon       sleep, eat light food at night , eat minimum       2 hrs before to sleep, Bed must be used only       for sleeping no other activities on bed is       allowed, Room must be dark, calm & cool , U       can change ur room or bed . 5.  Eat balanced diet. 6.  Try to imagine only positive things of ur life ,       figure out positive things happening daily in       ur life , and neglect the negative things. 7. Don't google any of ur issues ,it will add       more problems . 8.  Don't start any medicine without supervision      of Psychiatrist in particular.
