Typhoid Or incompetent cervix.
Had a 24 week miscarriage in may this year as I was dilated 6 CM with no pains and contractions. Only symptom was vaginal bleeding two days before miscarriage. Also at 16 weeks I had typhoid infection but took treatment of antibiotics for 15 days, and after that also did anomaly scan all was fine. But at 24 weeks this happened. Doctor suspected it's incompetent cervix but also could be due to typhoid as well because typhoid bacteria can cause uteroplacental infection and cause preterm birth. So my query is what could be the next steps for my future successful pregnancy.

Hi Mostly as per experience, Typhoid infection may not necessarily cause such preterm labour. But cannot be ruled out. The most common reason could be an Incompetent Cervix. I would suggest please get cervical length check starting from the earliest scans and you may require a prophylactic encirclage in future pregnancy
Next Steps
Please do get the length of cervix check in non-pregnant state as well. That can also clench the diagnosis of cervical incompetence.
