Incompetent Cervix with Cervical Erosion
Hi, I had incompetent Cervix in first pregnancy and inspite of cerclage at 24 weeks, my child was born premature at 28 weeks. Now, I am planning for second baby and recent pap smear shows inflammation of cervix and speculum exam concluded as Cervical Erosion. Since my cervix opened prematurely in first pregnancy, my doctor suggested cervical cerclage at 3 month during next pregnancy but my doubt is can cerclage be done with Cervicitis/Cervical Erosion? Does it cause premature delivery again ? What precautions I should took to handle pregnancy with cervix issue? Is there any other procedure other than cerclage? I already took multiple course of antibiotics for Cervicitis but of no help.
