Cervix length 3.1 cm
Hi all, My wife (age 27 yrs) is currently 20 weeks pregnant. This is her first pregnancy. During anomaly scan, her cervix measures 3.1 cm TVS and internal os is closed. According to the radiologist, this is borderline and may require stitches while gynae is saying this is absolutely normal. Can anyone please explain if this is normal or not? Many thanks.

This is absolutely normal length and your Gynaec is correct. Kindly ask her to have a word with the sonologist and explain. The cut off is 2.5 cm of cervical length in pregnancy.
