Twisted ankle swollen foot
I twisted my ankle 2.5 days ago. The pain has subsided now and I can walk slowly. However the front part of the foot is swollen since yesterday. It also looks a bit bluish. I am doing ice compress and using an ointment. Also trying to keep the leg raised as much as possible. I am worried about why the swelling isn't going down even when the pain is almost gone. How long does it take for the swelling to go?

Hi, this might be due to ligament injury in your ankle due to the twisting force, however we should also get an x ray done to rule out any fracture For the time being i will prescribe you some medications and precautions to avoid swelling Consult directly
