Taking a TT shot after 26 hours is completely safe and still effective. There is no issue at all, and you do not need to worry.
The belief that tetanus vaccine must be taken strictly within 24 hours is a myth.
According to WHO and Government of India guidelines, the tetanus vaccine can be given up to 72 hours after injury and still works very well, because tetanus has a long incubation period (usually 3–21 days). So taking it at 26 hours is absolutely fine.
The cut from the trimmer is a clean, minor wound, and taking TT even after a day is sufficient. There is no reduction in protection, and no need for any additional dose.
