TG >300 mg/dL elevated hain, lekin usually emergency nahi hote. Pehle fasting lipid profile repeat karke cause check karein—diabetes, thyroid problem, weight gain, alcohol/diet etc. Prescription: • Tab. Rosuvastatin 5–10 mg OD — only after reviewing complete lipid profile/ASCVD risk. • TG 300–499 mein fibrate/omega-3 routinely start nahi kiye jaate unless specific indication ho.
Health Tips
Sugar, sweets, cold drinks, maida/refined carbs & alcohol avoid karein; regular exercise + weight reduction. Fasting lipid profile + HbA1c/fasting glucose + TSH check karein.

Triglycerides above 300 mg/dL are elevated but are not usually an immediate emergency. Please repeat a fasting lipid profile and check for causes such as diabetes/insulin resistance, thyroid disease, alcohol intake, excess weight and certain medications. Reduce sugar, sweets, refined carbohydrates and alcohol, exercise regularly and work on weight control. Medication depends on the complete lipid profile and cardiovascular risk. Please consult me on Practo for an individualized assessment and treatment plan rather than starting any medicine on your own.

Its usually manageable with diet, exercise and treatment the risk depends on the full lipid profile and other factors. A consultation would help review the reports, identify the cause and plan an appropriate way to bring them down safely.
