High triglyceride values
My mother's lipid profile has been showing high triglyceride values , in the range of 350 to 400 consistently for over 5 years now . She follows a purely vegetarian diet and generally refrains from sugary and fried food . Her body structure is lean and thin. She goes for adequate amount of morning walk for her age yet triglyceride value is not coming down even though all other values in lipid profile are well within normal ranges. Is this high triglyceride value harmful and should she be put on some medication?
