Share some pictures of the effected tooth or if have x ray then attach it's photograph. Treatment options can vary. But need to know full history before diagnosing anything. Consult with doctor online or offline for better guidance and treatment options.

Extracting(removing) the tooth will give permanent relief from tooth pain.
Next Steps
Consult an Endodontist(root canal specialist) online/offline to know whether the tooth can be saved instead of removal
Health Tips
Continue with the medications for temporary relief but get the tooth treated ASAP

This is sort of incomplete information. Is your mother diabetic? Or has blood pressure issues? Or any other health issues? Is the pain continuous or appears on its own? Is there any night pain? Was an x-ray taken? If not, one needs to be taken Meanwhile, if the medicines are giving relief, please continue with those
Next Steps
Continue with medicines and then get the tooth removed Visit a dentist if the pain or discomfort worsens
