While eating hard thing, my husband's tooth broke, a little part and then started bleeding. Upon asking he said no pain. When we went for an x-ray doctor said it's a fracture. I am a bit worried. Pls help. Pls tell me if the cost what he estimated is true.

Hi.. As per x ray... Totth is badly carious extending in root area too. So if Dr advised rct now... It may serve purpose but in long term... He may require extraction of tooth and followed by implant to replace tooth. Rates are approx same. You need to first understand situation well before treatment.

RCT and capping is advised correctly. The caries has penetrated the root area also. Later on this tooth may require extraction and replacement with an implant or a bridge.
