I was using a toothpick as i felt something was stuck between my teeth. I didn't use too hard but a part of my tooth broke fell out. it doesn't pain but feels hollow when i feel it with my tongue. also, it wasn't a filling , but a real tooth part.
i have previously also had chipping in other teeth when a part of the teeth just came out without me doing anything.
why is this happening? what should i do?

There are several reasons for tooth chipping. As you are pointing out that similar chipping has happened in other areas, you are best advised to visit a dentist for thorough evaluation of any excessive biting force areas due to any improper fillings or teeth which not in alignment or decay happening in the non visible areas.
