Tooth extraction infection
I had a upper left side wisdom tooth extraction 5 days back and I am facing a burning sensation over that area, I took a picture of it and noticed a white thing around the socket,  I consulted my dentist, she says it's a infection and would go away on its own with regular salt water rinse. I have been doing it since 3rd day of extraction and don't know how infection formed, and even after doing salt water rinses it doesn't seem to sooth over the area or give a relief. My dentist asked me to stop antibiotics as 5 day course is over. Please tell me what else can be done to reduce burning sensation over there. PS:  It happens even when I talk. Attaching photo for reference.

Visit dental clinic and let your doctor know that burning sensation is not subside completely. He or she will clean that area and apply some medicines. Burning sensation will vanish in a couple of days. You just try to maintain good oral hygiene by brushing twice a day, warm saline water rinses two to three times a day, use mouthwash.

Hi , Inform your Dentist that you still have the burning sensation, and continue with your saline gargle. Also don’t be very vigorous while gargling. The burning sensation should subside in a couple of days. You needn’t start your antibiotics. You can takeup the prescribed painkillers by your Dentist if you feel uncomfortable.
Next Steps
Inform your Dentist about the prevailing pain .
Health Tips

Hi.... Let your dentist know about this burning sensation...the dentist will clean the site and put in some medicines, there is nothing much that you can do except the advised warm saline rinses. And try to keep that area clean like when you brush don’t leave that side, brush on that side as well, rinse after every meal and of course do your warm saline rinses , it will heal quickly and easily if it is left clean. You don’t have to do anything else rest all you have to leave on your dentist let them know again I am sure they’ll help you out.
