I am 22 yr old female. my lower madibular left wisdom tooth has been advised by dr for extraction.
Also there is a cyst formed beside the wisdom tooth . I am having mild pain due to that .
Does it effect my nerve after extraction?
Is it really necessary to extract that tooth?
What consequences I have to face if that tooth hasn't been extracted?
I am also attaching my x- ray opg here.
Kindly suggest me what to do now ?

It’s best if the wisdom teeth is extracted as it is mesially inclined it eventually will effect the 2molar aswell , and as such I couldn’t find any cyst in the OPG as mentioned.
This is mesioangular impaction of wisdom teeth. And your Inferior alveolar nerve is very near to your tooth apex. Its goes surgical tooth extraction, sometimes in this type of cases you may faced temporary Parasthesia (temporary senseless of one side of face) for few months after tooth extraction. It will cure gradually. Nothing worry about it. But i don't find any cystic lesion on tooth apex of your tooth. I think you may have pain due to pericoronitis ( pain and swelling of gum around tooth)
Next Steps
Extract the tooth By an experienced Oral and maxillofacial surgeon. because nerve is very close to tooth. may causes temporary parasthesia for few months. Not find any cystic lesion on your Opg.
Hi
1.)tooth extraction doesn’t affect any nerve
2.) advised to get tooth extracted because the impacted tooth is also creating the pressure on the adjacent tooth and as u mentioned there is also cyst so advised for extraction
Next Steps
Please get the impacted molar extracted so as to not create any further complications
Hello
1)yes! Extraction is required if it's hurting you.
2)As nerve is close it might (effect for few months) or not ,other than that it will not effect on eyes etc
3)Yes! it's necessary as it might damage your other teeth which are important for function and aesthetics
4)Decay, TMJ issues
Hi,
What are your symptoms ? The tooth is erupting in an tilted direction. Over a long run, it may damage the tooth adjacent to it. It is better to remove the wisdom tooth.
