Hello,
There are three basic options for replacing missing teeth. Fixed and removable. Under fixed there is an option of a bridge and implant placement. If you are looking for a reasonable procedure then you can go for bridge. But for a long term procedure which is a bit costly option is implant.
Depending on your comfort level you can choose among these options.

visit a dentist and discuss the available options. weigh both pros and cons and then take a call.
Capping of teeth is done for normal missing of teeth or after root canal treatment....
crown material is of different types..
**Metal ceramics
**Zirconia crowns
Metal ceramic crowns :
Advantages:
**Aesthetics
**strength and durability due to metal components
**Better fit
**Reasonable price..
Disadvantages:
**Dark line on the tooth
**More tooth trimming is needed
Zirconia crowns:
MOSTLY PREFARABLE FOR FRONT TOOTH .
It is a METAL FREE crown made up of diamond crystals..
**Durable(Extradinary strong)
**since it is METAL FREE,it is MOR ESTHETIC than metal ceramic
**As it us metal free, it is NON_ALLERGIC
**Less tooth structure needs to be trimmed...
It is little costlier than metal ceramic...
Based on your affordability you can choose the crown material

Hi.... You should have described your problem somewhat in detail. Yes Crowns (caps) can be placed on the teeth. Get the Caps placed after doing an RCT(Root Canal Treatment). Various types of Crowns are available like All ceramic, Ceramic with metal and Zirconia Crowns. Zirconia Crowns are best but they are a bit expensive
For replacement there are two fixed options... One is crowns and the other is Implants... Since your husband is just 32yrs go for Dental Implants instead of crowns... Because Implants are permanent and best option and will come for life long...
