Ulcers on the sides of the tongue are usually considered different than the other ulcers. You can apply anaesthetic ointment like dologel CT for temporary symptomatic relief till the time when these ulcers Heal on their own which normally happens in 7 to 10 days.
If they do not Heal in this duration it would be best to consult an oral pathologist for a proper clinical evaluation of the case so that the right diagnosis can be established.
