Chronic dry eyes after LASIK are common due to reduced tear production and aggravated Vata-Pitta dosha. While lubricating drops help temporarily, Ayurveda focuses on nourishing and strengthening the eyes naturally. Ayurvedic Remedies for Dry Eyes: Triphala Ghrita – Take ½ tsp with warm milk at bedtime to strengthen eye health. Anu Taila Nasya – Put 2 drops in each nostril daily in the morning to lubricate the eyes internally. Jeevantyadi Ghrita / Mahatriphala Ghrita – Use as eyewash by mixing with lukewarm water. External Application: Rose Water – Use organic rose water as eye drops twice daily. Cold Milk Compress – Soak cotton in cold milk and place on closed eyelids for 10 minutes. Castor Oil – Apply 1 drop of pure castor oil (chemical-free) in each eye before bedtime. Diet & Lifestyle Tips: Eat ghee, almonds, walnuts, and vitamin A-rich foods (carrots, papaya, spinach). Stay hydrated and avoid excess screen time. Blink frequently while using screens and follow the 20-20-20 rule (every 20 minutes, look 20 feet away for 20 seconds). Consistency is key—follow for 3 months for noticeable improvement.

Triphala kashaya is your savior. 1 tsp triphala + 2 glass water boiled and reduced to 1 glass. Allow it to cool down completely. Filter it with double layer cloth. You can buy an eye cup in store. Using that hold the decoction in the eyes.
