Nuts in general can be taken at any time during the day as snacks in small amounts. It should be not be taken in large quantities as it also contains fat. Before workout is a good option as it will provide sustained energy. Almonds are more preferred than cashew nuts. Also mix a small quantity of raisins to go along with the almonds for better results.
