Thyroid pbm
Hai sir/mam. I had a hypothyroidism for 10 years. So I take medicine properly. I took 100mcg per day. A few months back my tsh level increased to 9 so the doctor suggested  to increase my dosage to 150mcg per day. But I have seen period irregular pbm in the past 2 months.so I tested my thyroid. Now my tsh is 0.02. don't know what to do next. Kindly suggest the correct dosage of eltroxin. Shall I reduce the dosage ?

Don't stop thyroid medication without consulting your doctor, even if your thyroid levels are normal; suddenly stopping medication can lead to thyroid hormone imbalance, and your doctor may need to adjust your dosage or monitor your levels.

Increase in the eltroxin dose has caused medicine induced hyperthyroidism which will revert to euthyroid or hypothyroid state on reducing/stopping the medicine. It is not advisable to Stop eltroxin abruptly, rather reducing the dose under the supervision of your physician.
