hello . given your age you must certainly go for a consult before doing any permanent alteration. while shaping etc is possible, i am curious to know why canine? if you have a missing canine it may be impacted inside the bone. only a qualified dentist can evaluate . Get some radiographs done ( as suggested by the dentist ) and then proceed
