Hloo Sir Swelling and  pain are related to extraction that are normal for a sometime but if it is persisting for long time you need to visit dentist you for it done And you need to follow the all the instruction given by the your dentist Regards

It all depends on immunity as you are aged and also what precautions you took before and after tooth removal!  Warm water rinsing might help you to some extent but see a dentist and rule out any other issues

Healing of a tooth socket after removal of tooth depends on many factors, like . Did you take the prescribed medication. Do you smoke . Did you take the precautions advised by the doctor . Most importantly it also depends on personal health and immunity and as your age is 67 years , it will probably take some more time to heal as compared to some young patient. Better consult the Doctor who removed your tooth .
