Hello mam.. considering your daughter"s age , it is clear that she is in mixed dentition period...In this stage as only front two teeth (central incisors ) are only fully erupted and all other teeth are in under erupting stage it is medically called as ugly duckling stage....it is the normal one in this teeth... orthodontic treatment can be carried out after all the teeth are c erupted after the age of 12.....however clinical examination is also necessary to know the exact treatment plan
Next Steps

Hello Maam. Please don't worry ma'am. Your daughter is in the mixed dentition phase of her life wherein she will have both milk and permanent teeth in her mouth. And the permanent teeth are always quiet bigger than the milk teeth. But as she grows the jaw will grow and accommodate the big permanent teeth. This is all natural process and self corrective. You have nothing to worry about. But I would still suggest you to consult with an Orthodontist as I don't know the exact size of your daughters teeth and also I don't know if there is sufficient space to accommodate the large front teeth. These can only be predicted on careful evaluation by an Orthodontist. For any corrective measures to be employed, the age of your daughter is very favourable and by just using simple appliances and early corrective measures you may be able to avoid Orthodontic treatment all together in future. I would recommend Braces treatment only after she turns 14 or 15. But simple appliances can be used now to correct any large discrepancies in the future. Hoping that my answer was if some help to you. Please feel free to contact me for any other quirey. Regards, Dr. Arshita Singh (Orthodontist), Dentaire@BH, Dental Clinic, Road No 4, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad.

yes it can be corrected by ortho treatment but only after she gets 12 ,when all the permanent teeth erupted. so just wait for the right time .And also as she grows ,her face also gets fuller so might be the tooth size which is seen bigger now would have normal size then.

Hello ma’am, milk teeth are smaller than permanent teeth and therefore require less space in the mouth. When permanent teeth erupt, they might appear very big when compared to milk teeth. And also since the permanent teeth are bigger, they need more space in the mouth to fit in. Because of the less space , the teeth are crowded. As your child will grow , the jaws will grow and accommodate the teeth.
Next Steps
Refer to a Paediatric Dentist first. Discuss with the doctor. Depending on the severity of the case, the paediatric dentist will refer to an Orthodontist for braces, if need be.
Health Tips
Every child’s needs are different, so You should consult as soon as you feel like a need to go to the dentist.

Dear Arun, Your daughter is in the transition phase where few permanent teeth and few milk teeth are present. The two front teeth may look bigger right now since her face has not yet fully grown ...it will appear better as she grows
Next Steps
Earlier the right time to get Ortho treatment was after all the permanent teeth appear in the mouth ,but in the present day it has changed we do corrective measures in the mixed dentition stage so that the severity of the problem is minimised.
Health Tips
Please get an Ortho opinion at the earliest so that you can get a clear picture. Regards Dr.jagan
