Tooth extraction and new teeth fitup
Hi doctor,
My father's teeth are extracted 1month back and he needs to get new teeth fit-up .But due to this corona breakdown i am asking him to not go hosptial for teeth fit-up.Is it ok ,if he waits 2more months and then get the new teeth fit-up???

Hi ,
The bone healing after total teeth extraction takes around 3-6 weeks, so it’s totally fine to postpone the treatment but make sure your father eats healthy and nutritious diet to aid in healing, is he on multivitamins too??

After a tooth extraction, the tissues take a minimum of 4-6 weeks for healing. More the age, more is the healing time required. Hence, at this pandemic time, staying at home is more important than going to clinic for getting new teeth fixed where he may have a chance of exposure.
Please assure him that waiting for another month will be even better as the gum tissues will get adequate time for healing.
Next Steps
Due to missing teeth, there will be difficulty in chewing all types of food. Soft diet is recommended.

Definitely yes....current scenario of covid19 second wave,we request our patients to visit dentist only and only for emergency dental procedures....So its okay if he waits for 2 more months.
