There are different types of permanent fillings. So doctor might have done a different permanent filling which doesn't require UV light.
Better ask your treating doctor.

Some do need uv light for hardening
But some don't need uv light for hardening.
So don't worry just confirm with ur dentist.
All permanent fillings do not need dental curing lights. The dentist must have used a self curing filling material for your permanent filling. Or he/she might have done a temporary filling. For confirmation you need to ask your dentist about the same.
