Hello, Teeth cleaning and whitening are distinct procedures. Cleaning typically takes around 30  minutes to 1 hour depending upon the amount of stains/calculus present. While whitening may take longer. Often, these treatments are scheduled in two separate visits based on the condition's severity.

Hey there!! There are 2 types of staining which requires totally 2 different procedures. If the staining of teeth is due to smoking, chewing of tobacco products, tea/coffee it can removed through a procedure called scaling. If the staining is present from birth, after taking any drugs, YELLOWISH TEETH it requires a treatment  called Bleaching. Scaling is a minor procedure it may take about 20-40 min (based on severity). In case of Bleaching it may take multiple sittings each sitting of about 30-45 min. Finally my opinion for a permanent solution for teeth staining correction is VENEERING.
Next Steps
visit a dentist for clear picture of what condition you have.
Health Tips
Go fo veneering which give more results than Bleaching

It usually takes anywhere between 30-45 mins depending on the amount of staining your teeth has. Those stains along with calculus is very important to be removed before we move on to the whitening procedure.
