Swelling around knees
I started running 15 days ago and try to run 5km daily on road track. After 4-5 days  i found pains in my knees and swellen around it. Pain of both sides of knees not in middle part. So what can i do for it?

5 km daily run needs training. you should build up your stanina slowly & gradually. This treatment is being suggested on bases of the information provided. However I would like to examine & investigate you  in detail. Control  Hypertension, Diabetes or any other metabolic disorder, if there is  any. Any way it may be tried, --. Dolokind Plus (Mankind) [Aceclofenac100 mg +Paracetamol 350 mg] 1 tab. OD & SOS. X 5 days. --. Caldikind plus  (Mankind) 1 tab OD x 10 days. (You may need help of your local doctor to get these medicines.) --. Fomentation with warm water. Let the part not be exposed to cold. --. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding. --. Use no pillow under the head. --. Avoid painful acts & activities. -- .Do mild exercises for  knees and ankles and feet. --.(Take help of a  physiotherapist). --Do not ignore, let it not become beginning of a major problem. --Do ask for a detailed treatment plan. If you are running first time for 5 Kms a day obviously your knees won't take it. So if it is painful swelling might be due to minor meniscal tears/ ligament sprains which can get better with painkillers rest and intermittent ice packs for 3 weeks with physiotherapy when pain and swelling subside. If the pain is intolerable even after this then meet a  local Orthopaedician
