My breast feeding wife is suffering from very High fever around 103.4F since yesterday, she has delivered a baby 45 days ago and doing fine since then. She had a paracetamol 500mg yesterday night but the fever returned again.
Please suggest any medicines, Tests as it's tough to carry wife to hospital by leaving new born baby at home.

Talk to experienced doctor online and get your health questions answered in just 5 minutes.
There are few well defined reasons why a patient develops fever within 4-6 weeks of delivery.
She should consult her Obstetrician or she may consult a Gynaecologist on Practo
Not advisable to take any antibiotics being a lactating mother.
Try cold sponging along with paracetamol 500mg
If the fever persists kindly consult nearby Doctor physically and get her treated
