Subclinical hypothyroidism
I got my reports today . Is medication required for the same.. I'm suffering from subclinical hypothyroidism. May I know the complications of it?

Hi it's subclinical hypothyroidism generally no need to initiate treatment  repeat after 6-9 weeks But certain conditions even subclinical hypothyroidism should be treated like if ur planning for pregnancy  or any other cardiovascular comorbidties etc

If you have no symptoms, then no need for medications of further testing. At this level of TSH unless female is pregnant , one may not start medications. So follow up in case of pregnancy .

If you don't have any symptoms then no need of medicine. Additionally you can get a anti tpo antibody test done, if positive then you can take medicine.

Most of patients do not require medication for the same, but it is too early to comment on whether treatment is required or not. Need more information about your symptoms, diet, and lifestyle? Some of them do have complications, mostly subside on their own. Relapse of this condition is also very common.
