Stress anxiety due to loneliness
We got a love marriage eight months ago and have been living separately since then due to different working/job areas. She lives alone and has no one to take care of her. Because of this she started showing unusual behavioral changes and changes in daily routine. She remains depressed and has low energy levels always, trouble understanding situations, unable to manage day to day problems, always remain sad, has fear of worry and ability to concentrate is also reduced. Is this a mental health disease and If yes then how can this be cured? Thankyou

the symptoms you've described, including persistent sadness, low energy levels, trouble understanding situations, difficulty managing daily problems, and reduced ability to concentrate, could be indicative of a mental health condition, such as depression. It's important for your wife to consult a mental health professional, such as a psychiatrist or psychologist, for a proper evaluation and diagnosis. If your wife is indeed diagnosed with a mental health disorder, there are various treatment options available. Treatment plans are often personalized based on the individual's specific symptoms and needs. Common treatments for depression and other mental health conditions may include: Therapy: Psychotherapy, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or talk therapy, can help individuals address negative thought patterns and develop coping strategies. Medication: Antidepressant medications, prescribed by a psychiatrist, can help regulate brain chemicals that affect mood. It's important for your wife to take medication exactly as prescribed and to attend regular follow-up appointments. Support Groups: Being part of a support group with others who are experiencing similar challenges can provide a sense of community and understanding. Lifestyle Changes: Encourage your wife to maintain a healthy lifestyle, including regular exercise, balanced nutrition, adequate sleep, and stress management techniques like yoga or meditation. Social Support: Encourage her to maintain social connections with friends and family, as social support can be instrumental in the recovery process.

Hello Whenever there is a life event whether positive or negative, it causes stress in the person. Marriage is a positive life event which comes with lots of responsibilities, also when you're living separately, it adds to the stress levels. Living separately after marriage can lead to feelings of inadequacy and fear of abandonment. These symptoms can arise out of adjustment issues, we need to talk to her and clarify a few things before it can further be commented upon. Kindly convince her to take a consultation so that appropriate treatment if needed can be initiated

It is a difficult situation to be in... Any new change in a person's life causes Stress... It can be a good stress ( success at work, birth of a baby etc) or bad stress ( relocation to a new place, change in status etc.) One has to cope with it to manage an optimal balance for life. In your case, so many events have occurred over an 8 month period, Love marriage, change in status from single to married couple, new relatives to adjust with. And few things have not changed like a job location, however have kept you and your spouse away from each other. The mentioned symptoms are a result of the above complex interactions of Life events.
Next Steps
Seek help from Mental health professionals and elders whom you trust and collectively chart out a way forward. A married couple should stay together for their bonding to building on multiple levels (physical, mental, emotional, financial, social and spiritual).
Health Tips
