Hi
Heart-related anxiety, or cardiac anxiety, happens when you become overly worried about your heart health. You might feel your heart racing, skipping beats, or notice chest discomfort and immediately think something’s wrong—even if there’s no medical issue. These sensations can be scary, but they’re often just your body reacting to stress or anxiety.
When you’re anxious, your body activates its “fight or flight” response, which can cause physical symptoms like a fast heartbeat, tightness in the chest, or even dizziness. It’s your mind playing tricks on you, making you think it’s something serious.
The good news is that this kind of anxiety can be managed. Therapy helps you understand these feelings, challenge those scary thoughts, and learn techniques like deep breathing or mindfulness to calm your body and mind. Over time, you can stop worrying so much about every little sensation and feel more in control. You’re not alone in this, and there’s help available!
