Severe right-sided abdominal pain radiating to the back, repeated vomiting and inability to get up require immediate emergency evaluation. Do not assume this is simple food poisoning. Gallbladder inflammation/stones, appendicitis, pancreatitis, kidney stone or another acute abdominal condition must be excluded.
Next Steps
Please go to the nearest emergency department now for examination, IV fluids, anti-vomiting treatment, blood/urine tests and ultrasound or CT if indicated. Do not delay for home remedies or force food; give only small sips of ORS if tolerated.
Health Tips
Call an ambulance if there is fainting, confusion, abdominal rigidity, blood in vomit/stool, fever, jaundice or reduced urine output.
