Spondylitis
My sister 24yrs is suffering from spondylitis and suffering from pain in her right shoulder for past 1 week. Are there any exercises that can help or is there anything that can help reduce the pain

If it's acute . Meet a good Physio , pain management then start Exe as only Exe might increase pain . Hot pack n muscle relaxant should help in managing pain at home .

In my opinion physiotherapy is the answer to all your questions...go for few sessions of physiotherapy and do hot fermentation.. if you do exercises in painful conditions then your pain might get increased..so kindly go for few sessions of physiotherapy..before that you can do some blood test like uric acid vitamin d vitamin b 12 and calcium...these values can also be deranged in the condition like yours... get well soon..take care...

Stretching exercises. Isometrics exercises. Hot fermentation. If it work then OK otherwise physiotherapy treatment for few days. Posture correction must. Avoid toward bending and computer work

Hot Fomentation. Gentle Shoulder Stretching. Core Strengthening Exercises. Gentle Neck Exercises. Avoid sleeping on affected side.. Warm up and cool down is a must. Hot fomentation.

Getting a basic cervical spine x ray is helpful Proper working and resting posture should be emphasised Regular exercises for cervical spine would help. A proper pillow is also a big help

If at all your pain is not reduced with physiotherapy and exercises and mri spine shows prolapsed disk or bulge disk/s . Kindly visit a pain physician near by for non surgical methods of management with advanced technology which are minimally invasive.

Just teach her isometrric lumbar flexion amd extension exercises with core mobilization. Get a standing xray done. Learn the excercises from youtube. Very simple. Thts all u need.

Hi, would like to confirm on spondylosis or spondylitis, however the most important exercise which also would be one of the main line therapy for her is chin tuck, Mckenzie (Google it) neck exercise. Neural mobilization is also going to beneficial for her. For any further treatment you can meet me or my team in my clinic for treatment or exercises
