Hot fomentation x twice daily. Neck Exercises. Neck Stretching. Postural Correction. Shoulder Shrugs . Core Strengthening Exercises. Take frequent Breaks at work Use cervical pillow.

Ur symptoms are suggestive of 2 things . Firstly what ur doctor said as spondylitis and second it can be carpal tunnel syndrome. It mimics very similarly but specially has pain in night times.
Next Steps
Get examined by a orthopaedician for any neurological involvement. If any kindly get an mri done
Health Tips
Avoid neck bending and weight lifting. Start isometric excercises for ur neck.

Hi... As doctor suggested it could be a pain radiating down from neck... It could be a facet joint irritation or a disc issue that is irritating the nerve.. It could also due to chest muscle which could give u similar symptoms.. I recommend you to kindly do frequent icing for your neck and shoulder and chest muscle..especially in the area below the collar bone.. Frequent neck stretches and pectoral (chest muscle) stretches will help us to improve faster..
