Space between teeth
There is space between my front two teeth and canines. It was there since childhood but the space enlarged gradually. I am not comfortable with braces. Is there any other solution that can be provided and will be durable? Like ceramic filling

Hello, Orthodontic or braces would be the best treatment for you. Alternatively you could go for veneers, ceramic crowns or direct laminates to close the gaps.

hello There are few ways by which you close the gap but it all depend on how much gap is present in between teeth. 1) orthodontic:- takes time , painful but lasting and a permanent solution, its one of the best solution you can get. 2) clear aligners:- takes time but less painful, and esthetically good. 3) veneers:- a thin cap on front of your teeth, looks good, last for 6-7 yrs, may have to change after that, and there may be some restriction on bitting from those teeth. 4) crowns:- caps on the teeth. its upto you which technique you want to choose. It depends on your budget also.

Try to visit a dentist 1st so that you can get a proper guidance by seeing your case clinically, as spacing could be because of following reasons:- 1- High frenum attachment, 2- Teeth size is small compared to the jaw size, 3- Gums related problems. You can opt for any of the following options for gap closure:- 1- Orthodontic treatment which is the best of all (you have many options available in ortho treatment also starting from metal braces to clear aligners). 2- Crowns, but teeth gets compromised as lot of cutting is done. 3- Veneers or laminates, in this less crown cutting is done compared to crowns but you have to avoid any hard biting from your front teeth as it can come off under pressure. 4- Cosmetic fillings, but it gets stained very easily over time.

Hi, clear alliners are the beat options then as per your requirements as they give equally good results as braces, you can remove them on your own and best part is then are transparent  teeth shape sheets so no aesthetic problem. It takes equally time as braces and no harm on natural teeth. Other options are teeth build with good quality composite fillings to give to desire looks instantly in just one day, usually last for 4-6year. 3rd option could be vineers, that is thin shell like caps on your front teeth with minimal prepration on your natural teeth to give desire shape and ehnance brightness and colour if your teeth as well. Take care. Dr. Arun kant, MDS Naturopathy Dental, Dwarka
