Sore Gum and tonsil
I am experiencing sore and swollen gum in the back of the mouth in left side. I am having difficulty in swallowing food as my left lymph node is also sore. I am having difficulty in swallowing food. I also have a foul rotten egg like taste in the back of my mouth. Honestly I don't have a diligent and regular oral cleaning routine and in this covid wave I am sceptic going to the dentist. I saw some blood while brushing today. Please give me a oral routine care guide along with a good toothpaste, toothbrush and floss for me. Should I use Listerine after brushing in this condition.

Mostly its related to wisdom tooth. Dentist are taking care of the covid protocols. Kindly visit dentist for clinical examination and x rays followed by treatment. Fear of covid or dental visit will just worsen your health. Meanwhile also go through the blog mentioned in the link below.

listerine wont help. full evaluation of your mouth needs to be done. it might be due to infection in any of your teeth in that area, since you are telling about the lymph node(subject to confirmation) . secondly itmight be due to poor oral hygeine. Visit your dentist or you can consult me. Thank you
Health Tips
trust your dentist and fall into trap of alternate methods which people aroundyou might suggest.

Dentists are following strict covid protocols. Don't worry about that. Visit in early morning hours, when the patient load is less and the instruments are freshly sterilised. But the cause of swollen gum and a swollen lymph node needs to be assessed before anything else. Seems like an affected tooth or gum infection (periodontitis)
Health Tips
For oral hygiene, A good colgate/pepsodent toothpaste may do and use stim floss. A mouthwash like listerine or Hiora will be of added benefit. Tongue cleaning with a regular brush will keep the mouth clean.
