Son of Narcissistic Parent
Until very recently I was unaware why I was suffering from low self esteem, low confidence, having people pleasing attitude, having no personal opinion whatsoever about anything, avoiding conflicts.. My wife told me I might be a victim of narcissistic abuse. When I started reading about it, I realised, that I have been a serious victim of narcissitic abuse to a level that it have entirely shaped my personality and perspective to of being a sheel, always self doubting no confidence. Now that I know what is causing all this, how do I proceed and get control over my life. My perspectives and behaviour in life has started affecting my relationships and work-life as well. Is there doctor who has expertise in such kind of cases. What do I do. I want to change.l and get my confidence back.

Because of your past experiences, currently you are in depression. You may not be aware of your depression. After taking just one antidepressant medicine your life will change drastically. You will gain all your confidence, energy and motivation for maintaining your work life balance and relationship. You will become somewhat assertive too. After that, if needed,  you may opt for CBT sessions for assertiveness and other personality changes. Although You may not require that. You should consult with your psychiatrist for your treatment. I have 22 years of experience in treating patients. You may consult me by booking a video call on practo or through my Google page. For more information about me you can visit my facebook page... Hi, It is wonderful that you have become self aware. The next step would be to identify our current patterns that we would like to change. A psychotherapist will be able to help you with this and help you define your identity by what you want it to be, rather than make it an outcome of your past.
