I have done composite filling in my wisdom tooth but dentist didnt remove the whole carries some remains(as he said more drilling can expose the nerve) and then he did composite filling on it and told carries will progress may be but nothing to do...now my question is if my seal is tight and intact then how remaining carries can progress as bacteria cant get nutrients and oxygen from outside??? Will it progress without food supply or they will inactive?

Even if the seal is tight from outside, if there are bacteria (soft caries) left behind, it can spread deeper into the tooth from within. It doesn't need nutrients from outside to develop further. You can still develop tooth ache once it touches the nerve. Then, will have to go for root canal treatment or extraction.
Need to see if the tooth is completely erupted
