Solid food
My 6 month old daughter has more than 3 poop in a day it seems her stomach is upset, want to start her semi solid food, please advise what should we give which is ok for her stomach as her stomach is upset . Earlier giving her aptamil.

If there has been an increase in stool frequency last few days or is now more watery, baby appetite less and she's cranky can give her ORS and zinc

Can give mashed bananas, potato, rice curd, Khichdi 1 item at a time 1 to 2 tbsp

Once stomach settled can give more variety. Monitor urine output, weight gain

At this age stool frequency is normal, start foods in the puree form than semi solid

3-4 stools without change in consistency is acceptable at this age as they begin to mouth every object. You can start with home made uggu, fruits like banana/ apple by mashing with spoon, slowly u can add boiled and mashed vegetables to the uggu one after the other. Seasonal fruits are all encouraged to be given in a safe manner.

Allow baby also to hold and try to feed themselves.
