I always avoid social gatherings, and this is now affecting my workplace. Please help. I avoid eating lunch with people to avoid gathering. What should I do?

Each person has some fears and discomforts. It is completely alright to seek help from mental health professionals to cope with our concerns. I insist that you connect with a psychologist/counselor to explore this concern more. Self-diagnosis can lead to added distress. A counselor can help you identify the triggers, and develop emotional regulation mechanisms. Counseling will not only provide you with a safe space to share your feelings, but also help you slowly ease into the process of attending social gatherings. 3meals a day on fix time
Sleep 7 hrs on fix time
So mindful deep breathing twice daily
Don't discuss your thoughts with anyone & Shrug your irrational thoughts
Write thought log- your irrational thoughts
Do yoga nidra in the night
