Namaskaram, Mild discomfort and pain are very normal after a root canal treatment . During the procedure the tooth undergoes a lot of wear and tear which may result in pain . Sometimes an underlying infection can also be the culprit. Do visit the dentist if it is not bearable or does not come down so that he can have a look clinically and alter the medication. Thank you Team Shambhala.

Hi Usually pain won't be there after Root canal treatment...you may feel mild discomfort only if there is any periapical infection before treating the teeth with root canal....The pain may occurs if you skip any medications they prescribed or it may be in the neighbour teeth.. Continue the analgesics and antibiotics as prescribed by dentists.....you need to examine clinically  to rule out the cause
Next Steps
kindly visit dentist for further clinical examination and management

In some cases, after root canal  treatment is comoleted, patient experiences mild to moderate pain for next 2 to 3 days which later on gradually subsides. In your case, if the pain is unbearable you can take analgesics (sos) as prescribed by your dentist
Next Steps
If still pain continues, its better to visit the dentist and get an xray done

Usually, pain subsides after root canal treatment. However, sometimes, body flares up and causes pain. Request your dentist to disocclude (break opposite tooth's contact with treated tooth) the treated tooth and wait for at least 2 weeks. Until then, avoid chewing from same side and consume soft food.
Next Steps
take a pain killer is the pain is unbearable.
Health Tips
cold compress may help.

Normally a god rct tooth doesn't  cause any pain,if at all it could be there a day or two. if there is pain even after 5days it could be bcos of residual infection or missed canal or It could be a fracture of tooth or it could b due to periodontal problem.kindly go to the Dr who had treated earlier and get it rectified.
Next Steps
if the problem still persits visit a specialist or an endodontist

After a root canal procedure, mild pain or discomfort will be there which will eventually taper in 2 to 3 days for which doctors will put you under pain killers after the procedure.
Next Steps
Please visit your dentist  at the earliest if, 1. This pain is similar or more than the one which probably you had before the procedure. 2. You feel the temporary cement which is placed to seal the cavity, hits when you close your mouth And please make sure with your dentist whether the procedure is completed.
