Second Pregnancy Delivery
I had my first delivery through C section 3 years ago. Now am pregnant with EDD 22 December, 2023 according to scan and According to LMP it's 16 December, 2023. My doctor is suggesting to deliver through c-section on 9 December, 2023 saying the reason the previous scar may burst if we leave until EDD and everyone do the same for 2nd pregnancy one who had Csec for 1st. Am okay to deliver through c-section but can't I wait until EDD?? Do really scar tissue bursts??

There’s slight risk of scar rupture because of previous LSCS . Anytime after 39 weeks is better to go for LSCS unless there is any indication to deliver the baby prior .

Chances of rupture are less But no point in undue prolongation and wait for complications !! 39 weeks is the best time to get operated .

Yes. Better to get operated by 39 weeks. Scar rupture doesn't occur in all patients
