Hi can someone please tell me what it is ? I have this for a month now. It doesn't hurt but get burning sensation when I eat something acidic. It is in the same place didn't spread or anything. I have this ever since I had peri peri fries continuous for week as it was spicy, acidic , hot and salty. Could it be the cause? I did ask my dentist who told me to reach out to oral specialist since I also have hypothyroidism and in a lot stress could be a cause of it. . It does look scary and I'm too afraid to visit the specialist.

Hello
Can you please mention is it soft to touch?or hard?
Even if it is because of the continuous biting between upper and lower last molars, the outer border is now looking inflamed. So ongoing infection or trauma cannot be ignored.
Next Steps
Please consult a specialist a maxillofacial surgeon or a periodontist.Clinically this area is to be evaluated.
Health Tips
This impacted last molar is difficult to maintain,it is causing food lodgement in that region which may increase swelling or redness.
So after thorough clinical and radiographical examination, get this impacted molar extracted.
