A CT abdomen can detect conditions that may not be visible on ultrasound, but IBS itself usually does not require CT.
Since you mention persistent right-lower abdominal pain along with weight loss and weakness, these are reasons for an in-person evaluation rather than assuming it is IBS.
Your doctor may decide on blood tests and further imaging based on examination and symptoms. CT involves radiation, but when medically indicated, its benefits generally outweigh the small radiation risk.
You may consult me on Practo to assess your symptoms and decide whether CT or other investigations are actually required.
Please take consultation detailed history , examination is required to diagnose IBS .
And after full evaluation the doctor will decide what test to conduct, CT abdomen, colonoscopy or other blood test .

Hi, IBS and anxiety more often than not go hand in hand. In your case, I think you might go ahead with a CECT Abdomen, just to rule out some organic causes. If it is truly IBS, CECT will likely not show anything abnormal. But it could also be IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) which is a more serious condition than IBS.
Next Steps
I would suggest:
1. Blood Investigations: CBC, ESR, CRP, Anti-tTG IgA antibody, LFT, TFT, Vitamin B12, Vitamin D
2. Stool examination: Stool Routine Microscopic Examination, Fecal Calprotectin, Stool Occult blood
3. A colonoscopy subsequently
Health Tips
But even more than all these, I would suggest visiting a Gastroenterologist in person rather than online consultations. As nothing can compete with a first hand clinical examination.
Your symptoms may be related to IBS, but persistent right-lower abdominal pain with weight loss and weakness should not be attributed to IBS alone. You need a proper clinical examination and basic investigations to rule out other causes.
Next Steps
Please consult a physician/gastroenterologist. CBC, CRP/ESR, LFT, renal function, stool examination and other tests can be planned based on examination. CT abdomen/pelvis may be advised if clinically indicated; it can detect causes that ultrasound may miss
Health Tips
CT does involve radiation, so it should not be done unnecessarily, but when medically indicated its benefit generally outweighs the risk. If pain becomes severe, or there is fever, vomiting, blood in stool, abdominal swelling or further unexplained weight loss, seek medical attention promptly
